“Abide in My Love” is Lisa Mitts’ fifth studio project, a deeply personal collection of songs inspired by a profound revelation of resting in Messiah’s unconditional love—free from striving or earning God’s approval.
Rooted in the truth that God’s love is a gift, not based on works, the album echoes Romans 8:31-39: nothing can separate us from His love. Lisa shares that while many begin their faith journey in raw desperation, embracing grace freely, it’s easy to slip back into performance-based lies. These songs celebrate the finished work of Christ—the eternal Lamb—who has already provided complete acceptance and forgiveness.
Co-written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and often sparked by biblical revelations taught by her husband David to their congregation, the music reflects a joyful return to authentic faith.

Musically, the project draws from classic 70s and 80s influences while blending heartfelt lyrics with rich arrangements. Lisa collaborated closely with:

  • Derek Hoiem (Rain On Me Productions) – engineering, arranging coach, and drums
  • Jeff Coult – exceptional guitar work and production contributions

Additional guests include flutist Lise Peterson and background vocalists John Barksdale and Heidi Collins.Lisa personally recorded all keyboards, synths, pads, lead vocals, and background vocals—a rewarding and challenging artistic step.Her prayer is simple yet powerful: that the same anointing that inspired these songs would touch every listener, bringing healing, freedom to receive God’s boundless love, and boldness to share it with others.
